Meet your Teacher

Mr. Rich Wuebbels

Math - Room 220B

I am the 6th - 8th grade math teacher. I have been teaching at ILS since 2011 (the last time the Cardinals won the World Series). I have also taught Engineering, Religion and Computer Applications. Before that I taught middle school math and science in area public schools.

I have been teaching since I was 18. I started my teaching career in my martial arts class. After college I was a corporate trainer for a few years, then taught 7th and 8th grade math and science in public school before I found my home at ILS.

I was born in Belleville, Illinois and attended a Christian Elementary School in Bethalto, Il. When I was a teenager I moved to St. Peters and attended Francis Howell North High School, graduating in 1991. I received my Bachelor of Art in Middle School Education from Lindenwood University, and a Master of Science in Technology Education and Curriculum Design from Concordia University in Mequon, Wisconsin in 2016.

My Favorites

Sports Teams: Blues and Cardinals

Movie: The Empire Strikes Back

Marvel Movie: Black Panther, Capt America Winter Soldier, Avengers Infinity War, Thor: Ragnorok

Avenger: Thor

Books: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, The Shadow of the Wind

I have coached and mentored many activities and sports at ILS:

  • Student Council

My proudest moment at ILS - There are many, but winning the LSAM State Title for Scholar Bowl in 2015 tops my list.
